How to Opt Out of New Netflix Ads
Netflix is testing a brand-new idea – commercials! Okay, it’s not new, but it’s new for Netflix. They’ve been showing ads for Netflix original content between episodes of other Netflix original content. So, if you’re watching an episode of “Orange is the New Black” you might get an advertisement for “Atypical” or “Fuller House” before you can continue binging your favorite life in prison show.
Luckily, at least for now, there’s a way to turn those off.
Log onto Netflix.com on your computer;
Click on the drop down menu all the way in the top right corner;
Click Account;
Scroll down until you see “Test Participation” under the settings section. And click Test Participation;
Click the on/off button on the right to switch it to off. And click done.
That’s it! Its’ as easy as 1-2-3……4-5.
That will change that setting across your account for all devices. So until they make it their main feature anyway, you’re saved from Netflix commercials…. for now!
